Dr Cath Hester
BE(Hons) MBBS DACSCM ADD DCH FRACGP

Cath is a locally trained doctor with qualifications in family medicine. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005 and has worked at Tri Rhosen Cosmetic Centres (Ipswich and Greenslopes) since early 2011. Prior to this she accumulated a wide variety of experience working in various hospitals in southeast Queensland, and also remote area health in Cloncurry in far north Queensland.
She has extensive postgraduate qualifications in skin cancer, achieving a Diploma from the Australian College of Skin Cancer Medicine in 2010, and the Australian Diploma of Dermoscopy in 2012. She performs over 1000 skin cancer checks every year and works closely with local plastic surgeons to provide care to patients at risk from skin cancer. She is fully accredited to perform office-based cosmetic procedures to rejuvenate aging skin. She is currently working towards an Australian Diploma of Dermatology in 2015.
Women’s health and paediatrics are also areas of interest for Dr Cath. She is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society, has also completed further training in IUD insertion, and has a Certificate in Sexual Health from the University of Queensland. She has completed a Diploma of Child Health through the Westmead Hospital and the University of Sydney in 2012. She is a firm believer in evidence based medicine and enjoys promoting life-long health for all family members.
Cath has been appointed to the West Moreton Anglican College Council board in 2015. She is a member of GP Partners, a GP led initiative to promote health care and excellence in general practice in the greater Brisbane area. She is also an examiner for the University of Queensland Medical School.
When not working or studying, Dr Cath enjoys cross country mountain biking, cooking, and running with her Italian greyhounds, Pickle and Kipper.
